The ‘remake’ of Metal Gear Solid 3 o Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater was once again the central topic at the latest Metal Gear Production Hotline stream hosted by Konami. While the developers are not yet willing to commit to a release date for Metal Gear Solid Deltathey did respond to fans’ questions (and accusations) about the new installment in the acclaimed –by ‘millennials’– franchise.
“Unfortunately, we cannot yet mention a date”said producer Noriaki Okamura. «We’re working very hard on development, I promise, but we’re not at the stage yet where we can say for sure exactly when it will be available. I can tell you that from start to finish, the entire game is already playable, so we know it’s not going to be years and years. Nothing like that, I’m pretty sure.»
The ‘Virtuous Mission’ prologue will also be playable on the Tokyo Game Show show floor later this month, so it seems Konami is confident in the game’s current state if it’s willing to show it to the public.
“As developers, we want to take our time to make sure everything is done right. So, as soon as we have a clearer picture, you’ll hear about it here on the Hotline as well. But until we get to that point, I have to ask for your patience while we work.”concluded Okamura.
Last June, the release date of Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater by November 17. This, however, remains a bit of a lie until further notice.
