We recently had the opportunity to play Sonic Frontierscomplete its content and give a rating in a review. However, this does not mean that we are going to abandon it, as Sega recently announced that it will launch a free DLC or update for Sonic Frontiers which will bring, among other things, new characters.
The announcement was made a few hours ago through its official social networks. This indicates that the platform game will receive three updates at no cost throughout 2023.
According to the image shared by Sega, the first update of Sonic Frontiers will bring a ‘Juke Box’ (known as ‘rock pot’ in Spanish). It’s probably an addition to listening to the game’s theme songs at any time (which are very good). Apart from this, there will be a photo mode with which Sonic can pose and new challenge modes.
The second installment will celebrate Sonic’s birthday, so it is very likely that it will already be available for June 23. It will also bring open area challenges and a new Koco.
Finally, the third DLC of Sonic Frontiers will bring playable characters and new story. Tails, Knuckles and Amy appear in the image, but it is not known if these will be playable or if they will have to do with the new narrative that will arrive.
For now that is the content that has been announced. As additional information, it was announced that there will be a festive Christmas costume that Sonic will be able to wear from December 21 of this year. This will also be completely free.
