There are five options to choose from: PlayStation, PlayStation 2, PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4 and 30th anniversary, the latter maintains the PS5 sounds with a gray menu.
Themes include the signature sounds of each console's user interface. You're probably too young to remember what the old PS1 sounded like, although you've seen it countless times. the original intro with the 3D logo and the melody by Takafumi Fujisawa. The new PS5 themes will be for a limited time
Sony announced new PS5 themes to celebrate the 30th anniversary They will only be available for a limited time. This news has caused a fury among fans, who ask the Japanese to reconsider and leave them as a permanent option. Although it makes sense that it is a celebration, nothing prevents the company from integrating them into the console as was the case with the dynamic themes of the PS3.
The celebration also includes a commemorative trailer with 30 years of PlayStation. In it two minute video we can see sagas that last from the first console, such as Resident Evil o Final Fantasyas well as Resistance, InFamous, WipeOut and others that were lost with the generational leap.
PlayStation's commemorative-themed update is now available for the PS5. The patch also includes a wallpaper that is activated independently from the console settings or through the Home widgets. It's a shame that the PS2 intro and the red screen of death that told us to insert a compatible game are not included.
