Among all the movies that could receive an adaptation into a retro-style game, this is one of the ones we least expected to see come true. Freakzone Games—the independent studio behind titles like The Angry Video Game Nerd, Manos: The Hands of Fate y Spectacular Sparky— they surprisingly announced a game based on the great cult musical The Rocky Horror Show (The Rocky Horror Picture Show) and we won’t have to wait long to play it.

The game of The Rocky Horror Show (The Rocky Horror Picture Show) will be a 2D platform game with retro-style graphics and gameplay reminiscent of NES console titles. From what we see in the trailer, we will control Brad, Janet and Doctor Scott in levels slightly inspired by Doctor Frank N’ Furter’s castle.
The soundtrack will be made up of ‘chiptune’ versions of the songs from the musical. Ready to dance the time tunnel?
When does it come out The Rocky Horror Show Video Game and for which platforms?
We will meet the 8-bit version of the sweet transvestite from the planet Transylvania Transsexual on an unspecified day of October 2024. We can play it on PlayStation, Xbox, Nintendo Switch consoles and on PC through Steam.
