Grand Theft Auto V and Grand Theft Auto Online -O GTA 5 and GTA Online— come to PS5 and Xbox Series X|S on March 15. Loaded with story mode and the ever-evolving dynamic world of GTA Online. Finally available for next-gen platforms, both bring a ton of improvements for new and returning players.
These new versions of GTA 5 and GTA Online bring the luxurious graphics of PC to the console experience. New graphics modes offering up to 4K resolution, up to 60 frames per second (fps) refresh rate, better texture quality, HDR options, and ray tracing (ray tracing). In addition, they take advantage of the technical advances of the new ‘hardware’ of the consoles to offer shorter loading times, immersive 3D sound, support for specific functions of each platform and much more.

Choose one of three new graphics settings to make your gaming experience just the way you want it. The fidelity mode
The performance mode offers the most interactive gaming experience and up to 60fps. In this mode, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X offer upscaled 4K resolution, while Xbox Series S offers 1080p resolution. Also, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X have TR performance modea hybrid of fidelity and performance modes that offers upscaled 4K resolution, plus ray tracing and up to 60fps.
These new versions also offer general improvements, such as shorter loading times, more population density and variety of traffic, more vegetation, better quality in shadows, water reflections and other elements. They also have better edge smoothing and motion blur, new explosions, and more detailed fire.
There are also new levels of haptic feedback and dynamic resistance with the PlayStation 5 DualSense wireless controller’s adaptive triggers. This enhances the feel of atmospheric effects, directional damage, bumpy roads, explosions and more. Platform-specific features also include Tempest 3D positional sound on PlayStation 5 and spatial sound on Xbox Series X|S.
Grand Theft Auto Online (GTA Online)
The gigantic “metaversal” experience of GTA OnlineWith over eight years of additional content delivered in over 40 special updates, it will continue to evolve thanks to the power of PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. This new generation of GTA Online includes an assortment of added vehicles and a new addition to the LS Car Club: Hao’s Special Works.
Hao’s Special Works offers top-tier vehicle upgrades, a new type of race with specially modified vehicles, and a weekly rotation of their own time trials, plus a premium test car so you can enjoy these newly modified vehicles for free.
GTA Online

How to transfer progress GTA 5 and GTA Online a PS5 y Xbox Series X|S?
PS4 and Xbox One players will be able to transfer their story mode progress from GTA 5 and its characters and progress GTA Online to PS5 and Xbox Series X|S via a one-time transfer.
Starting today, players can start transferring their progress in Story Mode by simply uploading a save to the Rockstar Games Social Club. To start the process, go to GTA 5 with your current console account and go to the ‘Match’ tab of the pause menu. Once there, choose the ‘Upload Saved Game’ option. Remember that there can be no more than one game save per platform and it will be available for download for 90 days.
Players with a Rockstar Games Social Club account will also be able to transfer their character progress from GTA Online to PS5 or Xbox Series X|S on March 15, when they load the game on one of the new consoles. This transfer includes characters, GTA$, progress, stats, vehicles, properties, weapons, clothing and self-created activities.
Players will only be able to transfer their purchased GTA$ between platforms in the same family (PS4 > PS5, Xbox One > Xbox Series X|S). GTA$ earned will carry over regardless of platform.
