A few days ago, Atlus published the website soul-hackers.jp without making any announcement, which made the fans of the franchise Shin Megami Tensei Worldwide. Although the most logical thing was to think that the company was going to launch a new version of Devil Summoners: Soul Hackersthe spin-off of SMT which came out in 1997 for Sega Saturn and had a version for Nintendo 3DS in 2012, optimists believed that it was the long-awaited sequel to this title.
And they were right. Atlus finally revealed Soul Hackers 2 through a trailer and we already know its release date.
As you can see, many demons and other elements of Shin Megami Tensei will appear in this title. It will be a dungeon exploration RPG in the third person -unlike its predecessor, which was in the first person- with turn-based battles in the classic style of the franchise. In the trailer we can see some of the characters and a pretty cyberpunk visual style.
What is the release date of Soul Hackers 2 and which platforms will it arrive?
According to the trailer, Soul Hackers 2 will go on sale on Friday, August 26, 2022 para PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One y PC (Steam).
It is quite strange that a version for Nintendo Switch has not been announced.
What will the special edition for PS4/PS5 include?
At the moment, the special edition has only been confirmed for Japan.

Additionally, those who pre-purchase the game will get a pack of DLC skins inspired by person 5 for the characters.
