When this addictive game was originally released and became a hit, many believed that a Konami lawsuit was on the horizon due to the “suspicious similarities” of the character sprites to those of the first games in the family. Belmont vs. Dracula. Not only did that not happen, but the two companies are collaborating. Poncle announced that Vampire Survivors will have a collaboration with Castlevania coming soon.
Many of us believed that this could happen when it arrived the ‘crossover’ with Contra in April of this year. Still, it seems incredible to see it come true.
Poncle says this is the biggest DLC they’ve done so far for the game.
When is the Castlevania DLC coming out for Vampire Survivors?
The release date of this new paid DLC will be very appropriate: on Thursday, October 31, 2024. Happy Halloween!
What news will there be?
The ‘Ode to Castlevania’ collaboration DLC will add to Vampire Survivors:
- More than 20 new characters including Simon Belmont, Alucard, Shanoa, Richter, Maria Renard, Jonathan, Charlotte, Leon Belmont and many more.
- More than 40 new weapons inspired by the Konami saga.
- More than 30 new music tracks composed by Daniele Zandara, Filippo Vicarelli, Evelyn Lark and Keygen Church. They include several “dozens” of songs taken from the games of Castlevania.
- Lots of enemies taken from the Konami saga games.
- A huge new castle
- A vampire? Will it be possible? Is Dracula here? We won’t know until we play it.
The ‘Ode to Castlevania’ DLC for Vampire Survivors will be on sale on the date already indicated for PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Series X|S, Nintendo Switch, for PC via Steam (You can now add it to your wish list here) and for iOS and Android mobile phones.
