As promised last week, CD Projekt Red has released the first gameplay of Cyberpunk 2077 running on Sony platforms; specifically in the PS4 Pro and PlayStation 5. However, the Polish study has made it clear that, in the case of the console next-gen, they are running version backward compatible. Therefore, don’t expect the visuals new to the PS4 Pro to be too significant.
Several days ago they shared the gameplay of Xbox One X and Xbox Series X and the situation was the same. That is, the visual differences between the two versions, although perceptible, are not as great as many expected. Perhaps the most glaring disparity is in the quality of textures, drawing distance and, of course, loading times. Yes, we still don’t know what resolution and frame rate it’s running at
Despite all the above, CD Projekt Red reaffirmed that they are working on a upgrade next-gen to improve the visual section from Cyberpunk 2077 on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X. The greatest concern that exists at the moment has to do with the Performance Cyberpunk 2077 on standard PS4 and Xbox One models. And it is that two weeks after launch we still do not have a glimpse of the game on these platforms. One of the reasons why the title was delayed last time, according to its managers, is because they needed more time to optimize it on the previous generation consoles.
Since Cyberpunk 2077 evolved into almost a next-gen title sometime along the way, we need to make sure everything works fine and each version runs smoothly.
So we will have to wait for December 10 to finally analyze the graphs of Cyberpunk 2077 on six platforms: PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X, Xbox Series S, and PC. Obviously, in a title of such magnitude, the audiovisual theme is only one of the many sections that give shape to an extremely ambitious project.
