The long-awaited game from Bandai Namco will be able to be tested in advance thanks to a demo that will arrive first on Xbox consoles, specifically the new generation ones. The rest of the players of other platforms will have to wait an extra hour, so Bandai has given preference to Microsoft for an exclusive contract like Capcom had with Sony.
Scarlet Nexus has attracted attention for its visual style reminiscent of an anime, the frenetic gameplay combined with JRPG elements and in general for the essence that these games give off so close to the otaku culture. Bandai Namco has dedicated almost all of their games to this space, so they have some experience with anime-like titles.
Science fiction and anime
In Scarlet Nexus we can control Yuito Sumeragi or Kasane Randall, members of the Other Suppression Force (OSF) who have the mission of defending the city of New Himuka from creatures called “Others”. For that they can use short-range weapons such as swords, but above all they will use their psychokinetic powers against enemies.

The powers of the protagonist that we choose at the beginning of the game can be improved through a skill tree and we can even get more skills from other colleagues due to a technique called “Brain Link”. And is that according to producer Keita Izuka, “Scarlet Nexus” means “red link”, so we will see many links in the concept art and the gameplay itself, represented with a red line.
The game relies on science fiction and genres such as cyberpunk, so fans of these types of stories should keep an eye on it. You can watch the launch trailer below. Scarlet Nexus is coming to PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X / S, and PC. The demo will premiere on May 21 on Xbox Series X / S, while the rest will be released on May 28.
