Salutations to all! We have some exciting news to share with you all today. Next month, Hubris will launch on PlayStation VR2, and this version promises to deliver an unparalleled experience. Cyborn has made significant improvements to the game, especially for the new PS VR 2, resulting in improved graphics and gameplay.
But first, what is Hubris? Hubris is a virtual reality action-adventure game set in a unique and colorful sci-fi universe, with immersive movement options including swimming, climbing and jumping. Players will need to gather resources, craft food, and upgrade their weapons to battle alien wildlife, droids, and humanoid enemies.
The inclusion of foveal rendering is a significant improvement for our game, which features complex and expansive scenes. This state-of-the-art technology allows for sharper resolution than anything achieved before. Game textures and models are now several times clearer, while the frame rate remains stable.
Get ready for an even more immersive gaming experience thanks to the advanced haptics of the DualSense controller. You’ll feel every in-game action, with feedback provided by both controllers and the headset. From swimming to shooting, every action has been personalized with haptic feedback. Additionally, we’ve adjusted the weight of the guns to simulate a hard-hitting feel, and the triggers adjust to each gun’s specs. Adaptive Triggers have allowed us to significantly improve the accuracy of triggering alternate fire modes for the Shotgun and Harpoon Gun, making the firing of Guided Missiles even more responsive.
Additionally, we revamped the weapon reloading mechanism and improved aiming and ir on sights for all weapons. Additionally, new enemy variants have been introduced, requiring players to approach certain situations differently. Balancing has also been tweaked, providing a greater challenge for players on the harder difficulty setting and a more story-focused gameplay experience for those on the easier difficulty setting.
For a more complete experience, the game features 3D audio technology. You can hear the exact location of your enemies and determine the right time to open fire based on their footsteps. Additionally, we’ve incorporated a full soundtrack of ambient music that adapts to the player’s environment and combat state, making the game’s most tense moments even more complete.
