Summer Game Fest promotes its event after E3 cancellation

at the beginning of the year, E3 has announced the cancellation of its event in person due to the pandemic. Months later, the video game industry’s most important convention announced that the event would also not be held online, postponing it to its next installment in 2023.

The Summer Game Fest will be back in June 2022

The news of E3’s cancellation saddened all video game fans, but there were some who enjoyed it. This is the case of Summer game partywho although he had already confirmed the celebration of his event at the end of last year, took this opportunity to remember it again.

“Join us in June for Summer Game Fest, an industry-wide celebration of gaming with a spectacular live show hosted by Geoff Keighley.”

This didn’t surprise us, since the creator and presenter of the event had already shared a photo from the Summer Game Fest Within minutes, the cancellation of E3 was made public in January of this year.

“There’s no bigger fan than me of what an event like E3 means to the industry. I’ve been to every E3 for 25 years. As the industry has evolved, the way in which it comes together must also evolve. I will always fight to do what I think is right for the game and I have no intention of stopping.”

As of now, Keighley hasn’t shared any more details about Summer Game Fest 2022, so we don’t know its name yet. exact date nor the companies that will participate in the event.
