Part of the fun of Destiny 2 is the community that participates in the game as a whole. Especially every time a new raid is launched, players from all over the world work together to unravel the secrets, plan how to defeat enemies, and overcome the crazy challenge. The Deep Stone Crypt raid has begun in Destiny 2, and a party may have already completed it.
While some players are finding the first secret chest in the Deep Stone Crypt Raid, Team Luminous appears to have completed the entire Raid. Yesterday, the team worked on Deep Stone Crypt and livestreamed their achievement on Twitch, becoming the world’s first to beat the new raid.
Upon learning that someone may have completed the Raid, Bungie took to Twitter to comment and said they hope to confirm the winners soon. Before anything else can be done, including confirming that the Raid was defeated and who it actually was, Bungie must first verify that everything was up and running and that no one else had beaten the Raid yet. The Destiny 2 Community Manager followed the tweet noting that the plan is that Monday will be when the team officially congratulates the winners.
“We’ll let you know when we can who the winner is.”

Traditionally, Raids in Destiny 2 are very difficult, especially taking down bosses. The raid launched yesterday, and Team Luminous appears to have beaten it that very day, even within a few hours. There have been raids in the past that were controversial as being too difficult. It’s too new to comment on this, but if Bungie confirms the completion of the raid on Monday, it will be one of the fastest world firsts.
The race to become the world’s first in a Destiny 2 raid is very interesting. Teams prepare for the race weeks and months in advance, even without knowing what exactly the raid will entail. On the broadcast, and on his VOD afterward, it was clear that the gear was a combination of anxiety, excitement, and even relief.
Time will tell where the Deep Stone Crypt raid ranks among Destiny’s best raids. There can only be one World First, who appears to have been the Shining Team, but others can still get rewards for beating the raid. The Exotica Lament sword is given to any player who completes the raid, and now that the blueprint is available, many more players are sure to complete it.
Destiny 2: Beyond the Light is available now on PC, PS4, PS5, Stadia, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X / S.
