As we narrow down our week of # 25YearsOfPlay celebrations, we want to leave you treated in a special way. We've gotten a lot of big names from SIE & # 39; s Worldwide Studios asking a simple question: "What's your favorite PlayStation game of all time?"
Read on to get an inside look at the minds of creators from Santa Monica Studio, Sucker Punch, Guerrilla Games, and more – even the new head of WWS, Hermen Hulst, saved a moment to share his take!
Now that we've received some responses from these 10 creators, it's your turn: once you've read through this selection, hit up the comment and tell us: What is your favorite PlayStation game of today?
Croatia: Symphony of the Night
Cory Barlog
Creative Director, Santa Monica Studio
The tone, the earthwork, the mechanic, the positioning and the design of the levels are fantastic. This game is so timeless that I find myself thinking about this game almost every year and it's compelling!

Creative Director, Sucker Punch
The game really helps bring the cinema experience that always stuck with me. The horse-drawn carvings and the high level of the Colossi all felt very special and ahead of their time.
To me, Shadow of the Colossus is a work of art that has given me creative wisdom for me throughout my career as a game maker.

Creative Director, Japan Studio (Group Asobi)
The MGS gameplay was inventing things at the time and I liked the many ways it surprised players. There is also a deep message that keeps us talking about it for years. MGS V may be in the series, but this is the most iconic design ever.

A reboot can be dangerous, but Santa Monica Studio succeeded in making Kratos a beloved character.
I loved the great Warse World of Warts, and took a trip to Jotumheim recently.

Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater
Bryan Intihar
Creative Director, Insomniac Games
But larger-than-life characters always keep me coming back to this historical policy, and Snake Eater has the best of it. From the terrific Russian Colonel Volgin to the brash (and now very young) Ocelot, their unique backdrops and unique collections were only matched by their unforgettable performances. Anyway, whenever I look back at Snake Eater, it's a Boss that I'll never forget. Snake's mentor is exactly the definition of "the hero of his story." And if learning why he did all this was not heartwarming enough, he should actually pull the trigger to kill his life (or the cinematic willn & # 39; s ending) he made a plan. To me, that was a game of all time.

(Resident Evil 2 if I have to choose!)
Siobhan Reddy
Studio Director, Media Molecule
In real life, Resident Evil can be really scary. In the video game, it allowed us to pause to believe and be in this world and help save it. I loved that I felt like I was in some kind of crazy X-Files but I was mad at him for my zombie assassination and then when I was able to get naked for my cunning. It changed my perception of what games I could do, and I realized in front of me that they would join films, theater and books as a means of communication to convey more experiences, feelings and motivations.
This series is the main reason I made video games, and it has inspired many other creators. I loved seeing the horror genre grow in Dreams. May it continue to enjoy the discovery of “strange things”!

Ico
Dominic Robilliard
Creative Director, Pixelopus
The experience of playing this game stuck with me & # 39; s feeling & # 39; since I finished it the first time. All Team Ico games have the same emotional and memorable quality in their gameplay and world, (all of which I love!) But Ico remains my favorite. It totally distracted me when I first started playing it, and I increased my ability of what games to accomplish as a medium.

The Last of Us is included
Jeff Ross
Athletic Director, Bend Studio
The bold design of the dog eliminates common power concepts by building mechanics around each body's limitations and advances, leading to more encounters and less liking. In the last struggle of navigating the hospital, as I cut off the Firefly troops, my mind ran agonizing over Ellie's future until I was involved in a quick emotional discussion and trying to think of a possible outcome if she would agree to die.
In Left Behind, I played like Ellie on a busy night with her best friend in an abandoned store and watched their fraternity pieces through creative gameplay such as taking pictures in a photo booth, trying on a Halloween mask, and a navy gun game. I first heard what it is like for a person born in a strange and dangerous world to aspire to universal human desires such as freedom, precision and love.
I've never lived with the idea or the feelings of a character in one game completely in another game, but Naughty Dog has achieved this feat twice in one package, which is why The Last of Us is my favorite PlayStation game of all time.

Stuart Why
Director of Product Development for VR, SIE London Studio
Each encounter was a battle of wits, every obstructed track was missed nearby – the experience was depressing but very unique. Many of the players were truly pioneering – fully integrated with the single-player experience, the black phantom attack as well that the boss fight, Old Monk, where you had to fight with another player to get better – from the very beginning to the present.
This was the spiritual basis for games like Black Souls and Blood. It was, and still is, a masterpiece.

Great list! Thanks to everyone who participated in this story, and to you for reading it.
Finally, thank you for your support over the years. In the same way that a concert is only as good as the games you can play, PlayStation would be nothing without its fans. And happiness 25, everyone.
