The subscription manga service Manga Planet acquires the license of ‘Miyako Bijin Yawa’ to take us all to the horror bar.

Manga Planet continues to expand its manga catalog, this time providing space for Yumi Sudou’s work, ‘Miyako Bijin Yawa’, for American readers.

The announcement was published through the official page of the digital magazine of Fantasista last Monday, revealing that its English translation is the version made by Molly Karinen.

Karinen won the Grand Prize in The Manga Translation Battle in 2019 for her translation of ‘Miyako Bijin Yawa’, so fans of the work will have the best possible version of the josei that shows us the history of Keiichi.

Twenty-six-year-old Keiichi just got out of his terrible previous job, so it’s no wonder the sight of his abusive ex-boss still has him running for the hills and straight into a weirdly terrifying themed bar.

There, he meets Miyako, a kimono-clad beauty that allows him to air his complaints, who with her quiet charm and love for horror stories has Keiichi so in love that he wishes he could see her again.

The problems begin when the protagonist discovers the true intentions hidden in the kindness Miyako, leading to the hunt of the cat for the mouse in ‘Miyako Bijin Yawa’.

Sudou’s manga began publication in February 2017 in Shodensha publisher’s Feel Young magazine, ending in February 2018.

‘Miyako Bijin Yawa’ has five chapters in total that were gathered in a single volume and that you can now enjoy through Manga Planet if you are in the United States.
