The Last of Us 2 turns into anime thanks to fan work
The Last of Us Part II was without a doubt one of the final touches of the previous generation and by extension one of the best PlayStation 4 games. For many, Naughty Dog’s work was a perfect closing in 2020 to Ellie’s story, which began in 2015 on PS3, although the game has not been without controversy in some contexts, due to the way it deals with universal themes such as sexual diversity or the introduction of new main characters, such as Abby anderson.
Despite the debate that has been generated around the game, The Last of Us 2 has helped add a legion of fans to the saga (which was already very popular) and some of them decided to project their passion for Naughty Dog’s latest work with tributes like that of artist Caro Oliveira.
Oliveira has decided to transfer part of the most iconic characters and scenes in the game in an anime environment and the result is spectacular, as you can see in the video and in the pictures below. Ellie, Joel, Abby or Riley’s redesigns are stunning, full of detail and personality, and we don’t think anyone cared that the show’s makers hired the artist to direct the animated series.
