It seems that those who believe in a conspiracy led by Hideo Kojima do not think to lower their arms. Rumors have been heard for weeks that Blue Box Studios’ Abandoned is actually an undercover Silent Hills game and that Hideo Kojima is behind it all.
It certainly sounds crazy, but Kojima has done similar things on previous occasions, and we cannot deny that he is eccentric, which is why many continue to believe in this conspiracy AND more so with what happened today.
Eye-catching anniversary
August 12, 2014 was the day PT Silent Hill was launched on the PS Store by Kojima and Guillermo del Toro. The demo was a huge success and has influenced the development of horror games ever since. However, it was canceled by Konami due to a conflict with Hideo Kojima.
As you may have noticed, the demo has turned 7 today and the Japanese has used Twitter to retweet several people talking about the subject. On the other hand, Abandoned was expected to be revealed today as PT’s anniversary reason, but its developers have not been able to launch it in time.
But the only thing that happened is that Kojima shared an image from a Shasendo Yuki book, the title of this is The Murder Case of the Abandoned Amusement Park ”. The word “Abandoned” has put everyone on alert, and so has the rabbit on the cover who looks like Robbie, a recurring “character” from the Silent Hills saga.
Knowing Kojima it’s hard to believe that he did this unknowingly and by chance. This does not confirm that there is any conspiracy or secret, but at least it does confirm that the Japanese is aware of what is being talked about and that he has decided to go with the flow.
Unsurprisingly, the responses to the tweet are full of memes, references, and requests to reveal the secret of Abandoned. But it seems that we will have to wait for Abandoned to finally be released to rule out or confirm theories.
