Microsoft has published the games which are available with the Xbox Live Gold subscription in August. Remember that we can download any of these four games during the next month (there are specific dates that we will detail) and they remain forever in our Xbox library.
Since the X / S Series are fully backward compatible, you can play any game seamlessly on any of these consoles. In fact, this month everything is playable on an Xbox One, so even a Series X is a bit overkill. However, it is better to test them for a potential update, as it already happened with Watch Dogs 2.
Gift sets
The oldest titles are Lost Planet 3 and Garou: Mark of the Wolves, both are from Xbox 360 and received good reviews in their day. Lost Planet 3 is a space shooter developed by Capcom, it is perhaps its least remembered title of the time, but, as we said, it did not have bad reviews. It will be available for download from August 1 to August 15.
Garou is a fighting game from SNK’s Fatal Fury franchise. It has classic graphics since it is a 1999 title that has been relaunched on current platforms. It has memorable characters and a fighting system already known to fans of the franchise. It will be available for download from August 16 to 31.
For their part, the newest games are Darksiders 3 and Yooka-Laylee. They could not be more in aesthetics and art, but they have similarities in playability. Both are open world games in which we can explore large areas in search of new skills and missions.
Darksiders 3 has a theme of demons and horsemen of the apocalypse. In fact we control one, Fury, who must save his brother’s honor by searching for the 7 deadly sins. For their part, Yooka and Laylee go on an adventure to stop Capital B, an evil enemy.
Darksiders 3 will be downloadable from August 1 to August 31 and Yooka-Laylee from August 16 to September 15.
