Ubisoft released the first Far Cry 6 gameplay as promised two days ago and leaked even earlier. Its release date, October 7, was also revealed, so it will be one of Ubisoft’s big releases for the end of the year. This indicates that the saga is at the level of an Asassin’s Creed, a year-end AAA title that will sell a lot.
This installment will make Latin Americans feel at home, everything happens on an island under the oppression of a dictatorship of Anton Castillo, played by Giancarlo Esposito. We will control Dani Rojas, a character in the style of Eivor (it can be a man or a woman) who joins the revolution against Castillo after a terrible event.
Inspirational Latin America
In the presentation we met a few characters, we saw part of the map, some vehicles, weapons and even a pet. As we suspected, the game is continuous and conservative with respect to the rest of the saga, that is to say that it is an open world title with shooting mechanics and superficial RPG elements.
From what could be seen Dani will be able to use flamethrowers, weapons of war stolen from the military, knives and grenades made with homemade materials. We also saw scenes with bows and sniper rifles atop buildings, so it seems like the saga opens up to the possibilities of vertical design.
Regarding the setting, we can say that there is a clear inspiration in the rural towns of Latin America, there are levels in the jungle, exotic animals and the vehicles are motorcycles from the 60s, as well as horses and cars with a lot of mileage behind them.
By the end it was revealed a small dog that lost both hind legs and now uses a device in the form of a toy car to walk, apparently it will be our pet and will give moral support although no more details were gone into regarding this dog that stole the hearts of the viewers.
Far Cry 6 is coming October 7 to PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X / S, and PC.
