Female characters
Surely you don't know who the first female playable protagonist character of a video game. Dozens of ideas can come to mind and, surely, the most recurrent is Samus Aran with his first videogame in the saga Metroid for NES (1986). Although it is a common mistake, Samus was not the first playable protagonist of video games. In fact, it was a few years before, in 1981, with the arrival of the video game Ms. Pac-Man.
This was an arcade video game produced by Midway and began as an unauthorized sequel to Pac man. The game was almost identical to the original, but starring Ms. Pac-Man, which had a form equal to that of Pac-Man, only with a bun on the head and painted lips. Since then, dozens of female characters have had a very important relevance in the best video games in the world, being the main protagonists of many of them.
March 8 International Women's Day
That is why this March 8, International Women's Day, we wanted to bring together some of the most important female characters in the industry.
