looks like PlayStation Eager to apply some of its more popular IP Mobile, And the company is already working hard to improve mobility.
Sony has published a new job list for the head of the mobile department on Sony Interactive Entertainment PlayStation. Successful applicants have leadership and talent to “lead the development and strategy of mobile games, and shape the future of games for world-class studios.” .
“As the head of the mobile department, you will own and develop PlayStation Studios’ mobile gaming strategy and lay the foundation for future growth opportunities,” Work list (by VGC).
According to the position, Sony’s new employees will work across departments to make better use of the company’s IP and brand and achieve new success in the mobile market.
“You will lead all aspects of our game development expansion, from consoles and PCs to mobile and real-time services, with a focus on successfully adapting PlayStation’s most popular mobile games to mobile games,” the list continues.
Of course, this will focus on films such as “Gran Turismo”, “God of War”, “The Last of Us”, “Uncharted Sea” and other films.
“You will be responsible for building and expanding the mobile leadership team, and you will be the head of this new business unit in PlayStation Studios.”
This seems to be in line with what we have seen recently from Sony’s overall strategy, in which the company focuses on its proven and successful games rather than trying more niche projects.
For example, Sony remade “The Last of Us” in PS5’s work. Although Days Gone studio Sony Bend has set a sequel to the game, Sony doesn’t like the idea very much.
