A well-known leaker doubts that Battlefield 6 will still be released for the last-gen consoles.
Since the CEO of Electronic Arts, Andrew Wilson, announced last November that he assumed that Battlefield 6 would be released in time for the Christmas season 2021, there has been constant speculation about the new part of the successful shooter series.
Tom Henderson, a well-known leaker, has already mentioned some aspects that fans of the series can expect at the end of the year. For example, at least part of the campaign should be based in Japan. But his youngest Tweet Especially owners of last-gen consoles who cannot or do not want to switch to PlayStation 5 or Xbox Series X / S should look into the tube.
According to Handerson, he has not yet heard a word about last-gen versions of Battlefield 6 and therefore assume that these are not planned. In the same breath, he sticks to his assumption that Game Pass will be available for release on Xbox to drive player numbers up.
In February, Henderson’s original Twitter account was removed after a series of Battlefield 6 leaks. Although the leaker created a new account, he deleted a lot of content related to Battlefield from his YouTube account. While no background was given, his actions and some of his post-tweets suggested that EA had a hand in it.
