Nothing says summer like a music festival, and we’re thrilled to be launching our own in The Sims 4 for the first time. Music has always been a big part of The Sims Experience. From the iconic smooth jazz you hear while building your dream home to Katy Perrys The Sims 3
Simlish is more of an expression of emotions than ideas, so translating to Simlish is fun and often very recognizable as the artist focuses on the emotions and the story of his songs, not the words. To take our love of Simlish music covers of our favorite songs one step further and bring our players together for a big event, today we’re launching Sims Sessions, an in-game music festival currently being titled by some of our favorite artists: Bebe Rexha (may keep hearing “Sabotage!”), Joy Oladokun (did you see her gig on Colbert last week ?!) and Dave Bayley, lead singer for Glass Animals (peanut butter vibes for life).
From today until July 7th, take part in this limited-time event and enjoy the full festival experience – camp, put together your favorite fashion and buy exclusive merchandise just for the event. Then of course rock the Billboard chart single “Heat Waves” by Glass Animals, Joy’s powerful ballad “Breathe Again” and Bebe Rexha’s “Sabotage”.
After the show, you can step onto the festival stage and host your own show! I don’t want to give away too much more because we want this to be full of surprises, but the best part is that you only need the game to enter – no expansion packs required – and it’s completely free if you’ve already got the game . And if not, it’s on sale now for just $ 6, 85% off elsewhere, and EA Play and Xbox Game Pass Ultimate members can play The Sims 4 now with their membership.
Finally, you should jump on TikTok and follow @The Sims and @BebeRexha. There’s an incredible # SimsSessions challenge going on right now where you can try your luck and try out simlish karaoke duets from Sabotage side by side. Bebe will select her favorites to post again (although unfortunately I don’t think I’ll be one of them).
Sul Sul, Simmers!
I started playing Xbox a lot thanks to Call of Duty online. Since then I haven't stopped playing competitive online.
