Call of Duty: Vanguard: This is how extensive the multiplayer should be

The launch of the new Call of Duty: Vanguard is reportedly imminent; accordingly, the rumors and speculations are picking up speed in advance. The multiplayer of this year’s shooter is apparently supposed to be particularly extensive.

If the last speculations are confirmed, then Call of Duty: Vanguard will finally be presented in more detail in the new week. Shortly beforehand, the reliable insider Tom Henderson speaks up again and shares alleged information about the multiplayer of the new shooter. If the information from the speaker is confirmed, this part will be particularly extensive this time.

According to Henderson, the new shooter, which was set in the Second World War, should have a fabulous 20 maps for the multiplayer part. 16 maps alone are said to be specially designed for 6v6 multiplayer, which means that the number of maps for this multiplayer area is twice as large as in Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War last year. The number of maps would be significantly higher than usual from Call-of-Duty games.

In this context, it is also interesting that Henderson was said a few weeks ago that Call of Duty: Vanguard will probably contain 8 to 10 such 6v6 maps. The number has been increased noticeably in the past few weeks. How the rethinking came about can only be speculated about at the moment.

So while there are 16 classic multiplayer maps, there are still 4 more maps left to make up the total of 20. According to Henderson, these are reserved for a new mode, which he calls “Mini Battle Royale”. This game mode is said to offer mechanics similar to Call of Duty: Warzone, but with a reduced number of players. Whether this new mode will be an exclusive part of Vanguard or maybe an expansion of Warzone remains to be seen.

Call of Duty: Vanguard is slated for launch this week and is apparently in the works for PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One and Xbox Series X / S. The release should take place in autumn 2021.
