Chainsaw man is finally getting an anime, but the release date situation remains a little bleak. The adaptation of the ridiculously bloody and surprisingly great series comes from MAPPA Animation, the studio behind a number of new hits like Jujutsu Kaisen and Attack on Titan last season – both will receive new entries this year.
While we don’t know the exact date the show will start, we have a pretty good idea of when it will be and a couple of pointers from other shows that might give us a clue as to the debut date.
Chainsaw you might come this fall season
Chainsaw man‘s adaptation was first announced in December last year. While anime projects are sometimes announced with a long runway, the lead time between announcement and release is usually almost a year. MAPPAs Jujutsu Kaisen was announced in late 2019 and released in October 2020, which provides pretty good evidence that we could get it Chainsaw man
It’s worth noting that MAPPA will have several other projects on the way in the near future. Measure op. determination, a new series that will be a coproduction by MAPPA and Madhouse, is due out on October 5th while Jujutsu Kaisen 0, the prequel film, is due to premiere on December 24th – at least in Japan. Meanwhile, the studio also has Attack on Titan Final Season Part 2
Will Chainsaw Man stream on Netflix or Crunchyroll?
It is currently unknown at which western branch the streaming rights will be obtained Chainsaw man. Previous shows from MAPPA, like Jujutsu Kaisen and Attack on Titan Final Season Part 1 streamed on Crunchyroll. However, a current rumor suggested that Netflix be the definitive home of. could be Chainsaw man. This is a question that we will likely not receive an answer to until shortly before the show actually releases, and in particular, we are unlikely to receive any information until the release date has been announced.
