Xbox Boss Phil Spencer once again hinted at Bethesda’s The Elder Scrolls 6 Will be exclusive to the Xbox console. Whenever it starts, that’s it.
In an interview with British GQ, Xbox owner Phil Spencer outlined his views on The Elder Scrolls 6 and its place in the wider Xbox ecosystem-seeming to once again confirm Bethesda’s distant Skyrim follow-up Will not appear on PS5.
“This is not to punish any other platform, just like I fundamentally believe that all platforms can continue to grow,” Spencer told GQ. “But for the Xbox, I hope we can bring all the complete packages we have. When I think about The Elder Scrolls 6, this will be real. When I think about any of us, it will be real. Franchise.”
However, this is really not surprising: as early as November 2020, Xbox Chief Financial Officer Tim Stuart (Tim Stuart) stated that Microsoft hopes that Bethesda’s upcoming game will be “first and better” on the Xbox platform. Or the best” game, Spencer then outlined that the future Bethesda game is indeed unique to the “platform where Game Pass exists”.
The focus on Game Pass also appeared in a recent GQ interview: Spencer once pointed out that “before [Game Pass] You might want to make this game, and then you will participate in a lot of forecast sales meetings, and then say,’OK, I don’t know if we can make this game’. Game Pass opens up a creative canvas for more types of games, which may not find an audience in other ways. “
We now know very little about fantasy RPG, only some vague, high-level clips: it was designed to be playable for ten years or more, and work on the project could not start properly before Starfield went out (at least possibly in November 2022).
Bethesda knows that there is a huge gap between the previous Elder Scrolls game “Skyrim” and this new project-but while the gap between games is “not a good thing”, Starfield is a “now or never” project.
If you are eager to get the Bethesda fantasy restoration at the same time, there is always Skyrim Anniversary Edition to entertain yourself.
