After the 500 hours of Dying Light 2 playing time was the focus of attention, developer Techland has now commented on the plans for the time after the release on February 4, 2022. And again, a number causes a stir. Then a tweet from the team announces ambitious update plans:
We guarantee to keep expanding the world of Dying Light 2: Stay Human for at least five years after launch with new stories, locations, in-game events, and all the fun stuff you love!

Dying Light 2: The DLC promise is believable
What at first reminds you of tiresome marketing statements from the brand “We have a ten-year plan for Destiny” and makes you think of service games has a tradition at Techland. Dying Light 2’s indexed predecessor was supported with new content for an exceptionally long time after release, the vast majority of it free of charge.
However, when we played the pre-release, we were already very impressed with the content that came with the launch version. You can find out more about this in the gameplay video with our first conclusion on the campaign:

Dying Light 2 – This is how good the open world adventure can be
Incidentally, the image accompanying the Twitter post also speaks of in-game items. Already in the first Dying Light, Techland added more weapons to the arsenal of the zombie killers after the release. A large paid addon was also part of the content strategy for the open-world game at the time. There is currently no roadmap for Dying Light 2 post-launch support.
