The Fighting Cats is pulling out all the stops for the Lunar New Year in 2022, hosting a massive month-long event consisting of new scenarios and generous gifts.
In the unlikely event that you’ve never heard of Battle Cats before, this is a casual tower defense game, popularly known as the charmingly surreal Tower Defense, and from Japanese indie developer PONOS Corporation.
Originally released in Japan as Nyanko Daisensou, The Battle Cats has been available worldwide since 2014, when has been downloaded over 65 million times on iOS and Android.
Nearly 450,000 of those players also left reviews, giving the game an impressive 4.5/5 star rating on both platforms.
As for gameplay, The Battle Cats is all about recruiting feline heroes and sending them into battle to earn XP. In each battle you must defend your cat base, a giant cannon, against an army of robots, monsters and strange animals.
It’s an absolutely thrilling and entertaining game, and the Lunar New Year event is a fantastic time to have fun.
Throughout the event, lasts from January 17 to February 14, you will be able to claim a lot of free friskas – the main currency of the game – so that your army starts winning.
