The Free2Play release of Lost Ark was now exactly two weeks ago, but the problems don’t stop: The server region Central Europe is still struggling with lengthy queues and matchmaking problems, but there is no improvement in sight.
But Amazon Games is now taking action elsewhere: In the fight against the Gold Sellers, who spam the chat with annoying advertising messages, there is now a solution – which, however, also offends many honest players.
Players below level 30 will be muted
That happened: As we reported a few days ago, lots of bots and gold sellers are now up to mischief in Lost Ark. Many of you may have noticed the latter in particular, as they keep spreading long advertising messages for their shady websites in the chat.

Problems with bots are piling up, Amazon responds promptly
This is how Amazon reacts: As the developers obviously still lack a better solution at the moment, the region chat has now been blocked for all players who do not yet have a level 30 character in their squad.
In concrete terms, this means: If you are just starting out with Lost Ark or even just on a new server, you will initially no longer be able to use the local chat in your current zone.

Is that bad? The section chat is the best way to get quick help from other players – for example if you have questions about your class or are looking for something. Locations of area bosses like Rovlen are also often given here. This option is now completely removed for new players.
If you have already reached level 30 and do not want to change the server anyway, you will not notice the new restrictions.

Does it help? As some users already do report on Reddit, the effect of the measure is probably limited. Several players report that although the local chat in the initial areas is free of spamming bots, you are now being whispered directly by them. So the problem seems to have just shifted.
how do you see it? A step in the right direction? Or are honest players also punished here by the way? Tell us in the comments!
