Micha and Fritz (picture similar, Fritz on the right) are reminiscing about one of their favorite genres: space simulations.
If the cover photo of this podcast makes you think, “Wait a minute, why does Luke Skywalker have a cat that explodes spaceships out of his head?” then you’re probably as unfamiliar with the great space classics of the ’90s as Admiral Zaarin is with loyalty. Because that is of course the cover motif of Wing Commander 3, the legendary space sim for which Chris Roberts showed film scenes with well-known actors – including Mark “Luke Skywalker” Hamill.
For Fritz and Micha it is of course an old helmet, Wing Commander, Tie Fighter, Freespace 2 and Freelancer – these were the legends of their youth! Except maybe elite, with elite it was difficult.

Then there would of course be the X-Wing, from which Micha first learned that Star Wars existed. And Tie Fighter, which made everything even better than X-Wing and was recently relaunched as Tie Fighter Total Conversion for the X-Wing Alliance Upgrade Project.
Fritz, in turn, breaks a whole knight’s tournament full of lances for I-War, which has nothing to do with Apple products, but abbreviates “Independence War” and is one of the few (action) space games that simulates inertia, so that you can die in the tutorial . And then this 14-minute render intro:
