Twilight: The Saga in Brief
Twilight is original a series of fantasy novels written by Stephenie Meyer between 2005 and 2020. The work consists of four novels: Allure, Temptation, Hesitation and Revelation, all adapted for the big screen. We follow the story of Bella Swan and in particular her complicated relationship with two men, Edward the vampire and Jacob the werewolf. The first part focuses on Edward and Bella. Our heroine has just moved in with her father. Attracted to Edward, she discovers that he and his family are actually vampires. This discovery, which would repel more than one, doesn’t bother Bella. She decides to meet Edward’s family, who subsequently accept her, with the exception of Rosalie, our male protagonist’s adoptive sister. His presence causes a stir and attracts the attention of mysterious people.
The second episode begins with Edward’s 18th birthday. He tells our heroine that he and his family cannot stay while she is alive. Shocked and in a deep depression, Bella comforts herself in the arms of Jacob, the son of her father’s best friend. This event marks the beginning of a love triangle, the main point of this second work.
