After skipping Xbox One, street fighter is about to return to Microsoft consoles. Capcom just announced the arrival of street fighter 6 on Xbox Series X|S with a new trailer in which Chun-Li, Ryu or even Luke shine. And as the title releases next year, the developer is also unveiling a brand new game mode.
In a new trailer, Capcom gives us a first look at its next fighting game. A chance to see a Chun-Li more formidable than ever and to discover Jamie, a new fighter. The new face of this work, Jamie, adopts a fighting style that seems to be inspired by the drunkard’s dance. And just like Luke, he will embody renewal street fighter
Several fights are uncovered during this roughly three-minute sequence. Guards can be broken, punches taken and combos will of course be key to becoming the best player. In addition, these seem to be more dynamic and important than in the previous opus. With a new team at the helm of the license, anything seems possible and the gameplay could therefore undergo a major overhaul.
As for the game modes, While classic 1v1 will remain the focus of Street form, a single player story will also be offered. This will put us in the shoes of an unknown fighter who will have to go in search of battles to win in what appears to be an open world. The goal and the possibilities are still unclear for now, since Capcom has not shared any information about this novelty.
However, this first look is quite exciting. If only because the mythical series is back on Xbox and because this Street Fighter 6 suggests beautiful things. A feeling that has to be confirmed over the months and especially with the release of the game. This is therefore planned for the current year 2023, only on the Xbox Series X|S on the Microsoft side. Note that the game will also be released for PS4, PS5 and PC!
