Valorant reveals Comic Crossover event to celebrate new map release

To celebrate the launch of Valorant Episode 5 in 24 hours, Valorant revealed their Comic Crossover event starts June 22 at 2pm PT. The event is not only to celebrate the launch of the new underwater map PEARL, but also to honor the expansion of Valorant’s storytelling.

In this video, Dorrani and I discuss our first impressions of the new Valorant map, PEARL.

The Comic Crossover event will feature a free exclusive event pass that will allow players to reach seven levels. The campaign will run for three weeks from June 22nd

so you have plenty of time to unlock the freebies offered.

Having said that, this exclusive pass includes two titles, three player cards, and two sets of Radianite Points, which you can earn by playing the game. If I say so myself, these player cards have to be the best yet (see below) and I think a lot of players will be fans.

Valorant has been working hard to embed more lore in the game, and so far they have done a good job of making the lore subtle and interesting. It seems that after Episode 5, we can only expect more and more storytelling to be brought into the tactical FPS game.

In the latest Valorant film, Shattered, we see a group of our favorite agents end up in a comic book store, and they’re the main characters. This special shop can also be seen on the new map PEARL. To bring together the different worlds of Valorant and its mirrorworld, Riot’s team has been hard at work on the Comic Crossover pass.

The titles in the pass include “Dimensional” and “Double Agent,” while the player card contains Omen, Killjoy, and Raze, as well as Legions (Brimstone, Viper, Omen, Killjoy, and Cypher).
