This summer, football fans have a new championship to indulge in. We are talking about the Women’s European Cup, which comes five years after the last edition, in which the Netherlands were the winning team.

The list of winners is however clearly led by Germany, with 8 championships to their name. Norway follows with 2 and Sweden and the Netherlands are tied with only one title. Europe, on the other hand, has not yet reached one. Will this change in 2022?

When and where will the 2022 Women’s European Cup be played?

This year, the Women’s European Cup will take place in England from July 6 to 31, 2022. As always, the competition will start with the group stage, followed by the knockout stage from July 20. The grand finale will take place on July 31.

The tournament will kick off at Old Trafford Stadium in Manchester, while the final will be played at Wembley Stadium in London. The other venues are Community Stadium, Manchester City Academy Stadium, Brentford Community Stadium, Stadium MK, New York Stadium, Bramall Lane, St Mary’s Stadium and Leigh Sports Village.
