OPPO Watch 3 and 3 Pro, features, price and technical sheet

A little over a year after the presentation of the OPPO Watch 2, the Chinese manufacturer returns to the fray with two new smartwatches. The OPPO Watch 3 and Watch 3 Pro have been officially presented in China and we already know their characteristics.

Both stand out as watches that are very oriented towards sports and health monitoring due to their number of sensors. However, there is some key differences between them which should be known. We review its most relevant features below.

A design without surprises and with different sizes

With a pseudo-square aesthetic (their curved corners betray them), the OPPO Watch 3 and OPPO Watch 3 Pro come with a key difference in screen size and type. The standard model incorporates a 1.75-inch AMOLED panel, while the “Pro” raises its diagonal to 1.91 inches on an LTPO panel.

respect to external customization of the smartwatch, both offer the option of choosing between a rubber or leather strap, with their respective price increase. They also come in different dial colors, with black and silver for the OPPO Watch 5 and with an OPPO Watch 5 Pro in black or brown.

Lots of sanitary measures and scandalous autonomy

As for the hardware, both watches come with the Same Qualcomm main chip. Specifically a Snapdragon W5. It is a 4nm chip created specifically for smartwatches and to which OPPO adds a configuration of 1 GB of RAM with 32 GB for internal storage.

If we talk about batteries, they come with 400 and 550 mAh capacities respectively (standard and ‘Pro’). The company also offers charging guidelines, saying the Watch 5 can be fully charged in one hour and the Watch 5 Pro in one hour and five minutes. Yes both offer an autonomy of 10 days of useit is therefore not expected that it will be necessary to constantly remember the charge.

The most remarkable characteristics and which represent the most differences for these watches are the health sensors

. Both incorporate identical elements for measuring heart rate and blood oxygen. However, only the “Pro” model offers the possibility of carrying out an electrocardiogram. We recall that in the last generation the OPPO Watch 2 ECG had to arrive precisely to perform this measurement.

As for the operating system, both watches come with a version of ColorOS based on Wear OS. If we refer to the mobile software to which they must be connected, the compatibility is quite wide, since they can work with any mobile that has at least Android 6. If you want to use it with an iPhone, it must have at least iOS 13.
