In yesterday’s showcase, THQ Nordic wraps up the livestream by teasing what’s next South Park game.
No further details were provided, but when the trailer came out, you could hear Randy Marsh yelling “hot hot hot hot” in the background. I wonder how many courics this time?
This isn’t the first time we’ve heard about a new South Park game in development.
Back in January, the game was unofficially announced in a job listing for Question Games, a studio made up of former AAA developers whose past team credits include: Thief: De adly Shadow, Bioshock Games, Dishonored and Previous South Park games.
The job listing hints that the game may include multiplayer, as stuido is looking for someone with level design experience and familiarity with multiplayer elements.
This will be the third game in development based on the long-running animated series celebrating its 25th anniversary this month.
South Park: The Fractured But Hole, an RPG developed by Ubisoft and released in 2017, is the latest game in the series. In it, you’ll create a superhero and team of up to 12 Coon League members.
Before its release was the franchise debut of 2014’s South Park: The Stick of Truth. In the game you play as a newcomer, whose arrival is predicted by the stars. In the game, your mission is to defeat the forces of evil, and your main goal is to find the lost rod of truth. Doing so will make you new friends with Stan, Kyle, Cartman, and Kenny.
