In the seventh episode of “House of the Dragon” the situation at the Targaryen royal court comes to a head. The family gathers to mourn the loss of Laena Velaryon in Driftmark. Numerous events occur, all of which seem to play into Alicent Hohenturm’s cards and she shows her true colors.
The preview shows Otto Hohenturm returning and resuming his post as Hand of the King. After the deaths of Harwin and Lyonel Kraft, Viserys I was without an adviser. In addition to Lary’s power, the queen now has another ally under her roof.
It is also implied that someone is attempting to steal Laena Velaryon’s dragon. The largest and oldest dragon of his time, Vhagar is of inestimable value to the Targaryens.
The aftermath of the theft is believed to lead to a falling out between Alicent and Rhaenyra. In the teaser, Alicent goes after her stepdaughter with a dagger, showing her true sinister face.
All of her anger and frustration seems to have built up inside her. What triggered it is anyone’s guess, but we think it has something to do with the theft of Vhagar and its aftermath.
The seventh episode starts on October 3rd on Sky Atlantic on pay TV and on Wow in the stream. Then we learn who steals the kite and why there is a physical fight within the family.
