Microsoft continues to support Windows 10 almost like day one. All this taking in to account that Windows 11 is in the air with a strong revision and is now at the center of its priorities. Those still using this version of the operating system can still have the peace of mind of continuing to receive updates at least until the end of next year.
Today we are talking about the emergency patch that Microsoft had to release to fix a serious problem with OneDrive. I have to say I suffered from this on one of my laptops, so I appreciate how quickly the company has moved on.
OOB update KB5020953 available to fix Windows 10 issues
The error consisted in the blocking of the American storage service. This caused it to close unexpectedly and require the user to restart their computer to make it work again
The error was caused after last Tuesday’s October update, and it was followed by another related to that update which basically blocked the TLS/SSL protocol.
We fixed an issue that was preventing Microsoft OneDrive from working. This happens after you unpair your device, stop syncing, or sign out of your account.
OOB update KB5020953 is available for versions 20H2, 21H1, 21H2 and 22H2 for ARM, x86 and x64. You will need to download it from Support Center from Microsoft because it is not part of Windows Update’s update ring.
