Nintendo has released the final trailer pokemon scarlet and violet Before the November 18th release.
The video covers everything from getting started to Tera Raid Battles, from Scarlet and Violet Books featuring unidentified creatures to Pokemon Home integration, and from the new Pokemon Gimmighoul to Balck Crystals. It’s all set by Ed Sheeran for Celestial.
Without further ado, let’s get started.
In the game, there is a book specific to the version you purchased. These are the Book of Scarlet and the Book of Violet.
The books are records of expeditions written long ago, which are said to have traversed an uncharted territory in the Partiah region. Each contains photographs and sketches of unidentified creatures, and while there have been sightings of similar creatures in recent years, these reports are rare.
The Scarlet Book describes the monster known as the Tusk, and how this ferocious beast attacked the expedition. With its massive body and fangs, it fatally wounded an explorer.
Iron Treads are monsters described in Violet’s book. It is said that the monster curled up, rolled and attacked, leaving traces on the ground as if it had scorched the earth.
Moving on, the video also showcases Black Crystal Tera Raid Battles. While out on an adventure, you may come across a black crystal that looks different from the usual close black crystals in standard Tera Raid Battles. The Pokemon you’ll encounter in these Black Tera Raid crystals are far more powerful and only available for a limited time. If you manage to defeat these Pokemon, the reward is “more exciting than usual”.
The fire-breathing dragon with the strongest sigil will appear in Black Crystal Tera Raid Battles, but only for two time periods: the first from December 1-4, 2022; and then again, from December 15-18, 2022. Charizards are not usually encountered in Paldea, and the Tera type of Charizards that appear during this event is Dragon.
After completing certain post-game events, you’ll be able to participate in Black Crystal Tera Raid Battles. However, if you haven’t completed the event, you can still participate in these Tera Raid battles by using the link code to join other trainers in multiplayer.
There will also be special Tera Rid Battle events that increase your chances of encountering certain Pokemon or Tera Types. The Tera Raid crystals associated with these events may appear ordinary at first glance, but they are shrouded in “mystery.”
The first of these Tera Raid Battle events will be the Eevee Spotlight from November 24-27, 2022. Eevees with various Tera types will appear more frequently in Tera Raid Battles during the event.
In addition to information on the Tera Raid Battle event, a new Pokemon has been introduced. It is a ghost-type jimig, and there are two forms of Pokémon: Pokémon and Roaming.
In chest form, Gimmighoul tends to hide in solid chests, and when it sees people or Pokemon approaching, it will ambush them. It then uses ghost energy to control its targets, forcing them to collect coins. Because it’s often hidden in warehouses, store corners, and places that other people and Pokemon don’t frequent, it tends to have constant control over who it manages to meet.
In roaming form, Jimmy Gull does not hide in treasure chests. It’s small, carries a coin, and can be found all over Paldea. However, people run away when they get close, so none of Padia’s trainers seem to be able to catch them.
Scarlet and Violet will also have Pokemon Home and Pokemon Go compatibility. The latest Battle Stadium stats from the mainline game will be viewed in the mobile version of Pokemon Home. This will allow you to view information about trainer rankings, popular Pokemon, online competitions, and more. You can also see which moves, abilities, and held items were used in battle. This update to Pokemon Home’s battle data feature is planned for early 2023.
Compatibility between the mainline game and Home will go live in Spring 2023. After that, linking either title to Home will allow you to transfer Pokemon to Home and bring selected Pokemon from past games to the Paldea region.
Linking Scarlet and Violet with Pokemon Go will allow you to receive Gimmighoul in roaming form in the mobile game.
Additionally, if you still have save data from past Pokemon games, such as Legends: Arceus, Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl, Sword and Shield, and Let’s Go Pikachu or Let’s Go Eevee, you’ll receive a Rotom case for that game.
Finally, post-launch updates for Scarlet and Violet are coming. The first of these updates is version 1.0.1, which will be released on release day. Downloading the 1.0.1 update will allow you to enjoy online gaming. It is recommended that you download the update before you start playing.
Pokemon Scarlet and Violet are coming to Switch on November 18th.
