The rumors really seem to be true: Diablo IV should probably get an official release date shortly. That’s what a new teaser from Blizzard Entertainment itself suggests, given previous rumours.
The official Twitter account of the Diablo series has just updated its profile picture and also released a new teaser. That teaser features a 15-second clip that ends with the hashtag #LilithIsComing, suggesting bigger news in the hours or days to come. According to reports, this should also include the long-awaited release date for the action RPG.
A few weeks ago, the first speculations circulated that the new epic from Blizzard Entertainment could be shown at the Game Awards on the night of December 8th with a new trailer, which then also mentions the release date.
Some time later, the website published Insider Gaming around the very well-informed leaker and insider Tom Henderson that there should be corresponding information in the run-up to the event. According to this, selected media should have access to the title; the reports based on them could be prepared, but an embargo on the publication of these articles would fall even before the Game Awards itself.
With the release date there could also be news about the pre-order options. In addition, insiders also gave the possibility of early access to the game via an open beta test phase in the coming year; access is said to be part of the pre-order bonus.
If the rumors are correct overall, then Diablo IV could be on the market in March or April 2023. Are all the speculations confirmed? We should know more as the week progresses! We will keep you up to date!
