Baldur’s Gate 3: Reveals its release month in the trailer and shows an old acquaintance
This is the Baldur’s Gate 3 the fans want to see: A new trailer from the Game Awards not only revealed the release month of the finished version 1.0, but also spreads a lot of series flair. Because developer Larian Studios shows well-known people and locations from the history of Baldur’s Gate that appear in the story files not yet included in Early Access.
The new video for Larian’s role-playing game reveals the most important things at the very end: Baldur’s Gate 3 will be released in August 2023
What else does the trailer show of Baldur’s Gate 3?
With Minsc and Jaheira, two NPC companions known from the predecessors are returning, and there is also a first look at the town of Baldur’s Gate, which you travel to during the story campaign. So far, Baldur’s Gate 3 had only released rural sections of the Sword Coast and part of the Underdark to explore in the (great) Early Access version.
The new, but somehow familiar content should help make Baldur’s Gate 3 feel more like a true follower of the popular RPG series feels like. Because with the introduction of fully turn-based combat and a time jump of 100 years after the Bhaal saga, there aren’t that many similarities between the two games.
We have more exciting scenes (is that the paladin class?), monsters (there are mimic treasure chests that greedy adventurers eat) and moments (for example how magician Gale flies through the underdark) as screenshots in our picture gallery

What’s next for Early Access?
Baldur’s Gate 3 is still in Early Access on Steam and GOG.com until August. In the pre-release, which has been continuously developed over the past two years, the complete first act and a small part of the second are available so far. Yet large parts of the story and other content such as classes and pets are still missing. For our author Gloria, the whole thing is already great fun:

It gives me something I thought was long lost in RPGs
Larian Studios aims on December 14, 2022 new insights into development give. On a so-called Panel from Hell, developer Swen Vincke will show live on Twitch what content will be added with Patch 9, which is planned for the end of the year, and what the future will bring.
What do you think of the new Baldur’s Gate 3 trailer and the return of old friends? And does the release month of August fit in well with your plans to search through the role-playing game, which is probably up to 100 hours long? Tell us in the comments!
