There have been many developers rushing to release games and updates before the end of 2022, but it seems that one title that won’t make it past this deadline is Kingdoms of Amalur: Re-Reckoning.
In an update on social media, the team behind the title revealed that the Fatesworn paid expansion will not be released on Switch this year. In order to meet the “high expectations” of the players, the difficult decision had to be made to delay this particular version.
@ReckoningGame: “People of Faeland, we regret to inform you that we will not be able to release the long-awaited Fatesworn expansion for Kingdoms of Amalur: Re-Reckoning on the Nintendo Switch in 2022. Everyone on the team has been doing their best for the past few months and until the last minute we hoped to keep the promises we’ve made. Unfortunately, the game is not yet ready to meet our – and your – high expectations, which has led us to the decision to delay it. However, we are in the final stages of development and will share more information with you all as soon as possible possible.”
As stated, an update on the Nintendo Switch version of this expansion will be released as soon as possible. Here’s a little about this next expansion, along with the layout:
“Telogrus, the God of Chaos, has appeared to claim his mortal kingdom and only you can challenge this resurrected god, the Fateless One. Fatesworn offers a completely new story, a new environment, various new quests and missions, new Chaos Realm dungeons throughout Amalur, new mechanics gameplay, new weapons and armor, new enemies and more. It will raise the level cap to 50 and even features a new soundtrack by renowned composer Grant Kirkhope. Fatesworn requires the base game Kingdoms of Amalur: Re- Reckoning.”
