Microsoft has again increased the price of the Xbox Series S console in India to the equivalent of 455 dollars.
In the India region, Microsoft is not finding it easy to gain a foothold anyway due to a lack of marketing and the dominance of the PlayStation.
However, another increase in the selling price for the Xbox Series S shouldn’t exactly help to bring the console to the players on the market there.
After the Xbox Series S was last price adjusted there in August 2022 to the equivalent of $458, it now costs $483. That is 39,990 INR or just under 455 dollars.
For comparison: The Xbox Series X costs 55,990 INR or the equivalent of 675 dollars (approx. 637 dollars) in India.
The price, which is unimaginable for us, is likely to result from exchange rates, import and export taxes and other factors. Still, Microsoft doesn’t seem to be making a strong showing in India. There is not even a verified Twitter account for the region.
