Hogwarts Legacy just shared its PC specs, it’s going to hurt a lot. So sell your chopsticks, it’s time to invest in a big machine.
It is not yet known that Hogwarts Legacy is already creating the event. Although many are trying to thwart it by attacking it on Steam or wanting to boycott it outright, the game is already a hit on PC. Unfortunately, some are already becoming disillusioned when they see the configurations required to take full advantage. You’ll have to break the piggy bank if you hope to play it in the most optimal conditions.
On paper, Hogwarts legacy promises to become a real technical monster, especially greedy if you want to play it in the recommended version or higher. And if you were hoping to play in 4K, sell your car or take out a loan. It’s a 3090 Ti or a 7900 XT or nothing.
Hogwarts Legacy in 720p and 1080p, it’s okay
With the options to a minimum, Hogwarts legacy opens for most current machines. The studio tells us that the game will run at 720p 30fps with all options at least on machines equipped with a GTX 960 or an RX 470 and an I5 6600 processor or a Ryzen 5 1400. Even the observation of playing at the 1080p 60 fps options are high this time, with the game requiring at least a GTX 1080 or an RX 5700, coupled with an I7 8700 or a Ryzen 5 3600. Rather “small” configurations, although we still are asking for 16 GB of RAM.
On the other hand, it stands out in 1440p or in 4K
However, if you want to play in 1440P 60fps, you’ll have to up the ante. Here, Hogwarts legacy requires an RTX 2080 Ti or equivalent and an I7 10700K (or equivalent) and 32 GB RAM. For 4K at 60fps it will be reserved exclusively for those who have gotten their hands on the RTX 3090 Ti or RX 7900 XT at a fair price (which is still difficult these days). Again, the studio recommends 32GB of Ram and an I7 10700K processor or equivalent. In other words, it’s clearly not within the reach of all budgets, since we’re talking about at least PC configurations around $2000.
The good news, however, is that the game isn’t very large compared to other current standards, weighing only around 85 GB. It is always taken.
Fans are already concerned
hardly shared Twitter, the required PC configurations are already being discussed among gamers. The game is quite greedy and some fans say they have already canceled their pre-order on Steam. In addition, many are wondering about the porting to the PS5 and Xbox series. If the game already requires a solid configuration to even run in 1440p, then what about our consoles that are supposed to display 4K?
Gamers are already starting to feel that the PS5 and Xbox series versions ofHogwarts legacy seriously downgraded so they can hope to run properly.
Many questions about optimization keep popping up as well, and players are concerned that Hogwarts Legacy will end up having a rocky start like The Callisto Protocol, the last game to have major technical issues at release.
Needless to say, the postponement of the Xbox One, PS4 and Nintendo Switch versions is also making waves on social media right now.
Hogwarts legacy has been in the spotlight since it was announced and now, for the most part, fans are fearing the worst. Right or wrong ? Verdict on February 10th across PC, PS5 and Xbox Series.
