I know this isn’t the most pressing issue facing the video game community, but I just find it funny: someone at Ubisoft did it finally got around to fixing a bug that was affecting a specific version of Assassin’s Creed on a specific platform that people (or maybe just one person?) wiretapped for Years.

Nevertheless lAs I said, not a big problem. But still an issue, one that would have been logged somewhere at Ubisoft, far enough down the priority list that it hasn’t been fixed at this point, but is still on the list, waiting for someone to address whenever she had the time to do it.
That time is this week. The series’ Twitter account posted this earlier today, saying that an update specifically targeting this exact bug will be released tomorrow:
We are pleased to announce that Assassin’s Creed Syndicate will be receiving an update for PlayStation 4 tomorrow, February 23rd. This update fixes flickering issues when playing on PlayStation 5.

Thanks for reminding me to dig this up and play it. Not because I want to enjoy it flicker free – I never had it on PS4, I have it on PC! – but because this is a deeply underrated entry in the series and one I would love to revisit the newer games are just a bit too much.
