The Foundation lives, the fight continues
This new season picks up over a century in the future after the events of the first. Once again, the notions of time merge in this stellar odyssey by Isaac Asimov. What the Foundation managed to reconcile through alliances, threats, and a spurious effort to preserve knowledge no longer exists. All influence has been dissolved: legacy and oblivion.
Salvor discovers that she is connected to Gaal, leading her on a quest to answer her core questions. He says goodbye to Hugo and travels in cryogenics until he reaches Synnax, his home planet. And he arrives, one hundred and thirty-eight years later, but in doing so he only discovers destruction and more destruction, waters that flooded what might once have been a fertile civilization. Until he discovers a red light emanating from these waters, a capsule with someone inside in a state of torpor. He finally found his mother: Salvor is the daughter of Gaal and Raych.
This second season, as its official file announces, brings back most of the cast, including Laura Birn, Cassian Bilton and Terrence Mann. But it also introduces new characters such as Isabella Laughland (‘Brother Constant’), Kulvinder Ghir (‘Poly Verisof’), Ella-Rae Smith (‘Queen Sareth’), Holt McCallany (‘Jaegger Fount’), Rachel House ( ‘Tellem Bond’), Nimrat Kaur (‘Yanna Seldon’), Ben Daniels (‘Bel Riose’) and Dimitri Leonidas (‘Hober Mallow’).
