The survivor fired Escape from Tarkov has had technical issues since its official launch in 2017, and they are most noticeable with its explosive popularity in the new year. New exploits that create cycles allow players to become completely invisible. The team at Battlestate Games says they know the situation, and we are working to block the cheaters and reduce the problem in their code. However, videos showing abuse are popping up across Reddit
Tarkov began collecting real momentum, rising levels on Twitch and elsewhere, in January. Many of the top Twitch broadcasters have moved to play the game exclusively, leading to numerous Russian team sales from Battlestate Games. It is not surprising, then, that hijackers appear on the scene to take advantage of the crowd, and earn a little extra money. A search on YouTube only shows live demos for most clients for sale. The recent exploits added to this combination are particularly creepy, and players don't seem to take advantage of it.
Tarkov is different from other fighting games in that you can load anytime you lose before going to a session. The risk is that all those hard-earned gadgets can be replaced by other players.
What makes the invisibility so boring is that you don't have to kill another player to do the robbery. The hackers have found that it is more profitable to simply participate within the session, which impartial players can completely miss their presence. One video shows the players to release their nipples from their bodies
The only defense against exploitation seems to shoot anonymously in the middle class, but given the sound and how AI works in the game and that's a great way to attract your attention. Or, if you get lucky, the impostor will hit the wrong button again appear in front of your entire fireteam.
Warstate's chief operating officer, Nikita Buyanov, said in the post on Reddit that "all necessary measures have already been taken." Here's hoping Battlestate gets rid of this distraction, and soon.
