Apple’s latest toy, the Apple Vision Pro mixed reality glasses, has been available in the US since February 2nd. That was now around two weeks ago, but that’s not just clear from looking at the calendar.
Because Apple always gives its customers two weeks to return products – and that’s exactly what seems to be the case with the Apple Vision Pro. But why?
Vision Pro is often returned to Apple – despite enthusiasm
What’s the matter? With a price of $3,500, this good piece is certainly not a bargain. So it’s no wonder that users want to be absolutely sure that they are satisfied with the device.
On social media they are Returns hotly debated. Some users report that the Apple Vision Pro is simply too uncomfortable. Also red eyes and burst blood vessels in the eye are mentioned.

His main argument for the return:
»This is clearly the future. It works like magic. But the physical compromises just aren’t worth it for me right now.”
Another reason is said to be headaches caused by the device. On the one hand, due to the high weight and the uneven distribution on the front of the head. On the other hand, through the glasses themselves:

There are also some users who are not satisfied with the range of functions. Accordingly, the Vision Pro is not worth the money unless it can be used better or more.
Some users emphasize that the complaints also occur with similar VR glasses on the market. Others report that they have never had such complaints with any VR or AR glasses.

Not just a problem for the Vision Pro: Some complaints, such as red eyes and feeling unwell, are known problems from similar products, such as the Meta Quest 3.
Is everything just exaggerated?
Where there are loud voices on the Internet, there are also loud dissenting voices. Some users on Reddit are wondering if the majority of Vision Pros that are returned aren’t primarily returned by social media creators because they’ve made “enough content” for their channels.
Others claim to have recognized patterns that emerge when VR or, in this case, mixed reality glasses are released. Reddit user JCatNY, for example, has shared a collection of linksin which people report that they want to return Meta Quest 3.
They gave similar reasons as now in the case of the Vision Pro.
It should be clear that the high price of the Vision Pro means that people are less willing to compromise when it comes to crucial things such as long-term wearing comfort.
When will the Vision Pro appear with us? There is no official release date yet, but it is expected to appear in markets other than the US later this year. A release before WWDC in June would be conceivable, for example Ingame.de reported.
