Woodwalkers: The trailer for the movie prepares you for the new fantasy trilogy from Europey
That’s what Woodwalkers is about
The Woodwalkers are so-called shapeshifters who can switch between human and animal forms at will.
The focus of the story is Carag, who can transform into a mountain lion. After leaving the wilderness and his biological family at an early age, he grows up in human civilization in the form of a boy with a non-magical foster family.
Clearwater High quickly becomes aware of his special powers and accepts him as a student. At the secret boarding school for young Woodwalkers, he meets other shapeshifters, including Holly and Brandon, who quickly become friends with him.
As the story progresses, Carag and his friends face the dangers that come with being a Woodwalker.
The parallels to Harry Potter are obvious: three young friends experience adventures in a magical school. Despite the obvious similarities, Woodwalker has its own creative and original story that has already inspired many readers.
The start of the Woodwalkers trilogy will be moved forward
The first part is now coming to cinemas a month earlier and starts on November 21st instead of November 21st on October 24, 2024. The start of the other two parts has also been brought forward: Woodwalkers 2 will no longer be released on January 29, 2026, but probably on 23. October 2025. The third and final part should then be on 1. October 2026
The film series is shot by blue eyes Fiction in cooperation with STUDIOCANAL, Dor Film Wien and Filmvergnuegen Südtirol, and is directed by Damian John Harper, who is known, among other things, for the RTL series “The King of Palma”.
Familiar faces also appear in the cast: In addition to Emile Chérif, who takes on the lead role Carag, Oliver Masucci (Dark) as well as Martina Gedeck (The Lives of Others) and Hannah Herzsprung (Four Minutes) also appear.
