Stellar Blade is coming and the game is already crushing the competition. It’s doing better than FF7 Rebirth, the big PS5 exclusive, even before its release! A very big start in perspective?
It’s THE next big PS5 exclusive, Stellar Blade is on everyone’s lips and is coming soon. At least for now, everyone will be able to find the beautiful Eve exclusively on Sony’s newest console starting April 26th.
Korean studio Shift Up’s beat’em all has been in the spotlight for some time now, largely thanks to its more than perfect protagonist, almost too much so, as we discovered during our first look at the game. Stellar Blade is getting a lot of attention It’s been getting attention and has been quite successful, with the game already doing better than another PS5 exclusive from earlier this year, FF7 Rebirth.
Stellar Blade destroys FF7 Rebirth before release
Yes, FF7 Rebirth may be a pretty exceptional game in its genre, but it may well have some concerns. Stellar Blade is on the right track and could well outperform Square Enix’s big PS5 exclusive if the latest demo numbers are to be believed.
The action game is actually free to play on PS5 via a short demo that traces the beginning of the game and an additional boss encounter. A few minutes of play, perfect for picking up and understanding the title’s dynamic gameplay.
And we have to believe that Stellar Blade is attracting masses and the curious, and it is obvious that the latest stories surrounding the game have something to do with it. In any case, it worked as it was said to have been tested by more than 690,000 players Ampere Analytics
Therefore, if one relates the number of users of the demo and the number of sales at the launch of FF7 Rebirth and extrapolates the formula to Stellar Blade, it could be that the latter literally breaks all records when it is released, well ahead of FF7 Rebirth, but also Rise of Ronin, one of the other recently released PS5 exclusives.
It’s too early to tell, but the release of Stellar Blade should be watched very closely. The game could definitely cause a surprise when it comes out. I hope that the plasticity of the heroine is not the only selling point, but according to the initial feedback and our own first hands-on tests with the demo, the game seems to have resources.
And you, have you tested the demo yourself?
