Suda51’s insane lollipop Chainsaw is set to return this year on PS5, Xbox Series and PC (at least). Since there has been no news for some time, the producer makes a reassuring announcement.
Despite the flaws inherent in Goichi Suda’s productions, Lollipop Chainsaw is one of the creator’s games to recommend. Between the cell shading, the gore, the relationship between Juliet and Nick, the bosses, and even the music, we’re obviously having a good time right off the bat. The title also has its fans and that was the reason why the former producer bought the rights to be able to offer a version on current platforms.
Is Lollipop Chainsaw still ready for release in 2024?
As we’ve known since late last year, Lollipop Chainsaw RePOP will ultimately be a remaster and no longer a remake. According to the game’s historical producer, Yoshimi Yasuda, this decision was made after reading player feedback. As is often the case with projects of this type, fans expressed concern if the gameplay was changed too much. “We changed the game design of RePOP based on your feedback. We went from a remake to a remaster.”
If Lollipop Chainsaw’s gameplay remains intact, the graphics will be improved with more current technologies. On the other hand, there is also bad news, but many music pieces are deleted due to copyright reasons. We already have images of this remaster, but when will we see a real gameplay trailer? It shouldn’t take too long now. “Yasuda says preparations are underway for official reveal of Lollipop Chainsaw RePOP”
A trailer for Summer Game Fest 2024? We can expect such a window as the release is still scheduled for summer 2024. There are therefore no further delays in sight. In addition to a trailer, we are also waiting for confirmation from the platforms. Will this be exclusive to the next generation? Or are the aging PS4 and Xbox One also affected?
